Ronaldinho scores direct from a corner (Avai — Flamengo) September 1st, 2011 It isn’t hard to see why Ronaldinho has been recalled to the Brazil national team squad. Two goals on Wednesday night in Flamengo’s 3-2 defeat at Avai means he has now notched nine goals in his last 10 games. Defeat at Avai came as a blow to Flamengo’s title hopes, they slipped down to fourth in the table, but it was due to no lack of effort from the gap-toothed wonder who has chartered his own special plane to go straight from Florianopolis to Sao Paulo and then on to London to play for Brazil against Ghana. Ronaldinho’s corner kick goal came with Flamengo 1-0 down in the 37th minute, the former Barcelona and AC Milan forward curled in a brilliant effort that went straight in at the near post despite the best efforts of Avai keeper Felipe and a defender. The goal has already been hailed in Brazil as an “Olimpico” — one direct from a corner kick. On 88, Ronaldinho claimed a consolation for Flamengo, slipping the ball home from close range to give the Rio giants hope of rescuing the game. As is the custom in Brazil, Ronaldinho was interviewed as he was walking off the pitch and ignored his two goals simply stating that “We need to make less mistakes if we want to win.”

Ben Arfa Wonder Goal for Newcastle 2-1 Blackburn - Official Highlights and Goals FA Cup 3rd 07-01-12

Ben Arfa Newcastle v Blackburn FA Cup Jonas Gutierrez scored a stoppage-time winner as Newcastle came from behind to dump Premier League strugglers Blackburn out of the FA Cup. The Argentine played a one-two with Leon Best and lofted a delicate finish over goalkeeper Mark Bunn. Blackburn had weathered an early storm before taking the lead through David Goodwillie’s close-range finish. A wonderful individual goal by Hatem Ben Arfa made it 1-1 before Gutierrez snatched the victory. The winner arrived in the fifth minute of added-time but was just reward for a dominant second-half performance by the Magpies. Ben Arfa’s magical goal – the France international beat several Blackburn players before firing past Bunn – sparked a late onslaught and the hosts had already missed several chances before Gutierrez’s late intervention. The defeat inflicts further misery on Blackburn boss Steve Kean, whose team are rooted to the bottom of the league. In fact, Blackburn could easily have fallen behind inside the first 10 minutes as Bunn was forced into saves by Leon Best and Gutierrez. Ben Arfa then teed up Yohan Cabaye, but the French midfielder fluffed his effort. Blackburn responded with a spell of pressure and Ruben Rochina had a left-footed shot saved by Tim Krul in the 20th minute. The opening goal came after 35 minutes when Grant Hanley’s header from a Morten Gamst Pedersen corner was saved by Krul, and Goodwillie prodded home the loose ball. Newcastle brought on Shola Ameobi early

Learn Stop start skill - wave - Soccer football skills

Known as a stop start move. Good skill for wide players. Does the same job the pull push move would do. Slow approach into the turn and speed up out of it. STEP 1 dribble and put your foot over the ball, so it looks like you are going to stop the ball or turn. STEP 2 pretend to drag the ball back and bring your foot behind the ball. push the ball forward with the top of your foot. Steve Roberts STR Skill School
